WHEREAS, the Fourth Judicial District Court and Hennepin County Service Centers Department wish to use the Hennepin County Government Center skyway level and bridge floors 5, 8, and 20 for a marriage ceremony event to be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., for Valentine's Day; and
WHEREAS, the event spotlights positive outreach to the residents of Hennepin County about the Fourth Judicial District Court and the Hennepin County Service Center located in the Hennepin County Government Center; and
WHEREAS, Fourth Judicial District Court judges will volunteer to perform approximately 24 marriage ceremonies at no charge for couples providing properly completed documents in accordance with state law;
Resolution:
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners authorizes the Fourth Judicial District Court and the Hennepin County Service Centers Department to hold a marriage ceremony event on the Hennepin County Government Center skyway level and bridge floors 5,8, and 20 on February 14, 2024, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m., and requests the Communications and Facility Services departments make the appropriate arrangements.
