BE IT RESOLVED, that the award of Contract FC00000153 to Shaw Lundquist Associates, Inc. for the DOCCR Relocate HCGC C-23 to A-3 project (Sub Project 1010088, Capital Project 1007210), in the amount of $1,332,995 be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the county after the performance and payment bonds have been properly executed; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed.

Background:
The Department of Community Corrections and Rehabilitation (DOCCR) provides adult pre-judication, probation, and parole services to clients at locations throughout Hennepin County, including several floors within the Government Center. This project will renovate the entire A-3 floor for use by DOCCR staff and executive team as part of the Hennepin County's Downtown Campus Master Plan, making the C-23 floor of the Government Center available for Hennepin County Family Courts. The space on the A-3 floor will include secure interview rooms, secure staff workspaces, Microsoft Teams equipped meeting rooms, a training room, a staff work lounge, and a wellness room. This work will also update the A-3 floor to meet current county standards for technology, security, accessibility, and furniture to support the hybrid work environment.
Through a best value procurement process, a Request for Proposals was released on May 28, 2024. Eleven (11) proposals were received. Based on the results of interviews, cost, and written submittals, Shaw Lundquist Associates, Inc., received the highest score, and is recommended for this project.
