BE IT RESOLVED, that a contract be awarded to New Look Contracting, Inc. for $964,400 to repair and replace culverts along County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 6 (6th Avenue) between Willow Drive and County Road 101 in the cities of Orono and Plymouth, county project (CP) 2201000; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the contract on behalf of the county after the payment and performance bonds have been properly executed; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed.

Background:
The county routinely inspects culverts along county roadways. During the last inspection, county staff identified 12 culverts along CSAH 6 needing repair and/or replacement. Three of these culverts will be replaced and nine will be repaired using cured-in-place pipe lining.
On April 30, 2024, two bids were received with the lowest responsive bid submitted by New Look Contracting, Inc. Project funding is available in CP 2201000 Safety and Asset Management, with expenses tracked in its associated subproject CP 2201002 CSAH 6 culverts. The project is scheduled for summer 2024.
