BE IT RESOLVED, that Agreement A2412535 with the State of Minnesota, acting through its Commissioner of Public Safety on behalf of the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension for the Minnesota Anti-Heroin Task Force Task Force, from the Date of Execution through 5 years following Date of Execution, estimated receivable of $100,000, be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the Agreement on behalf of the County; and that the Controller be authorized to receive funds as directed.

Background:
The Minnesota Anti-Heroin Task Force program investigates illicit activities related to the distribution of heroin or unlawful distribution of prescription opioids. This includes investigating traffickers linked to fatal opioid-related overdose deaths, as well as practitioners prescribing opioids in violation of state or federal law.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension will reimburse the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office for the overtime costs of those that are investigating illicit activities related to the distribution of heroin, or unlawful distribution of prescription opioids or any opioid-related overdose death.
