BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Administrator be authorized to negotiate Agreement PW 05-02-26 with the City of Brooklyn Center for cost participation and maintenance responsibilities relating to reconstruction (County Project (CP) 2182800) and fiber optic conduit system improvements (CP 1010101) along County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 57 (Humboldt Avenue) from 53rd Avenue to 57th Avenue in Brooklyn Center, with an estimated county cost of $2,750,000 for CP 2182800 and $85,000 for CP 1010101; that following review and approval by the County Attorney's Office, the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the county and the Controller be authorized to disburse the funds as directed.

Background:
The City of Brooklyn Center, in collaboration with Hennepin County, is leading the design and reconstruction of CSAH 57 (Humboldt Avenue) between 53rd and 57th avenues, with construction anticipated in 2026. The project will modernize the roadway with the following:
* Stormwater and drainage improvements
* Accessibility and multimodal safety enhancements
* New fiber communications
