BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners reappoints Carla J. Stueve as Hennepin County Highway Engineer for a four-year term, to expire May 21, 2027.

Background:
Minnesota Statues, section 163.07, subdivisions 1 and 2, requires that the County Board appoint a County Highway Engineer. Carla Stueve was appointed as the County Highway Engineer for a one-year term effective May 22, 2018 (Resolution 18-0176).
After an initial one-year appointment, Minnesota Statues require that all subsequent reappointments shall be for four years and shall be made during the month of May. Ms. Stueve was reappointed as the County Engineer for a four-year term, which expires May 21, 2023 (Resolution 19-0192).
Reappointment of Carla J. Stueve as Hennepin County Highway Engineer for a four-year term is recommended.
Ms. Stueve is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota. She has served as the Transportation Project Delivery Department Director since January 1, 2018 (Resolution 17-0512).
