BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners approves the appointment of Kimberly Spates to the unclassified position of a Chief Executive Officer of NorthPoint Health and Wellness, effective June 16, 2024.

Background:
Under Minn. Stat. ? 383B.102(c)(3) and the County's policy on Open and Unclassified Service
The NorthPoint Community Board conducted the search for a new executive director. Following panel interviews, Ms. Spates' name was moved forward as the recommended candidate for the Executive Director position. On Monday, May 6, 2024 the NorthPoint Community Board approved Ms. Spates as Executive Director. The County Administrator then made a conditional offer of employment to Ms. Spates subject to confirmation by the County Board.

Ms. Spates has over 20 years of experience as a public and nonprofit sector health and human services leader. Since 2014 Ms. Spates has been the Chief Operations Officer of NorthPoint Health and Wellness Center, Inc. In this role she collaborated with internal clinical partners and community partners to implement a whole person care model within the NorthPoint Federally Qualified Health Care Center. Throughout her tenure she managed delivery of integrated health and human services to over 20,000 children, adults and seniors annually through building and maintaining collaborative relationships with governmental agencies, community, community board and staff. This included managing an annual budget of $12 million, leading operational areas of human resources, information technology, finance, policy development and process improvement.
