BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Administrator be authorized to execute Amendment 1 to Work Order 4 for Contract PR00003183 with HDR Engineering, Inc. to include final design and professional services for County State Aid Highway (CSAH) 13 (Brockton Lane) rehabilitation in the cities of Rogers and Dayton, county project (CP) 2220900, increase the contract amount to $877,714, and extend the contract period to December 31, 2027; that upon review and approval by the County Attorney’s Office, the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the amendment on behalf of the county; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse the funds as directed.

Background:
The county, in coordination with the cities of Rogers and Dayton, is leading a project along Brockton Lane to extend the life of the roadway. The improvements will include:
• Pavement rehabilitation
• Safety improvements
• Culvert replacements
In 2023, the county executed Work Order 4 with HDR Engineering, Inc. for a feasibility study along Brockton Lane. The study analyzed various alternatives for the upcoming pavement rehabilitation project. The county will continue its coordination and collaboration with our city partners and the community as the project continues into final design, with construction scheduled in 2027.
The original amount of the work order was $498,416, and this amendment would increase the amount by $379,298, for a new not to exceed total of $877,714. Funding for the final design and professional services is available in CP 2220900 - 2027-2031 Pvmt Rehab Prgm, with expenditures tracked in 2220901 - 2027 Pvmt Rehab CSAH 13.
Current Request: This request seeks authorization to execute Amendment 1 to Work Order 4 for Contract PR00003183 with HDR Engineering, Inc. to include final design and professional services for the CSAH 13 rehabilitation project, increase the not to exceed amount to $877,714, and extend the period to December 31, 2027.
