BE IT RESOLVED, that the County Administrator be authorized to negotiate the following agreements during the period September 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027, with a total amount not to exceed $97,902.56;
• PR00008350 with the city of Edina for the procurement of electrical lawn equipment for parks, not to exceed $8,170.00;
• PR00008349 with the city of Robbinsdale for the installation of solar panels on a city owned facility, not to exceed $24,757.56;
• PR00008352 with the city of St. Anthony Village for the installation of LED retrofit lighting, not to exceed $25,000.00;
• PR00008348 with city of St. Louis Park for the installation of LED retrofit lighting, not to exceed $14,975.00;
• PR00008347 with Avenues for Youth for the installation of solar panels at their new facility in North Minneapolis, not to exceed $25,000.00;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that following review and approval by the County Attorney’s Office, the County Administrator be authorized to sign the agreements on behalf of the county; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed.

Background:
The IGNITE program provides funding to organizations to support tangible projects that directly reduce GHG emissions within their communities, contributing to countywide climate targets.
Eligible organizations include:
• registered nonprofit organizations;
• non-for-profit organizations;
• municipalities; and
• public schools.
The county released a request for proposals in January 2026. A total of 13 applications were received. A total of 5 awards were recommended, for a total amount of $97,902.56.
Current Request:
This request is to authorize the County Administrator to negotiate four IGNITE agreements during the period September 1, 2026 to January 31, 2027, with a total amount not to exceed $97,902.56.
Impact/Outcomes:
The IGNITE projects support the county’s goals of greenhouse gas reduction, environmental stewardship, engaging communities, enhancing quality of life, and protecting the environment for current and future generations.
