BE IT RESOLVED, that Agreement PW 31-10-26 with the City of St. Anthony to provide routine maintenance on portions of CSAH 27 (Stinson Boulevard), CSAH 136 (Silver Lake Road), CSAH 153 (Kenzie Terrace), and CSAH 88 (New Brighton Boulevard), located in the City of St. Anthony, for the period January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2031, at an estimated annual county cost of $35,000, be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the Agreement on behalf of the County; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed.

Background:
Since 1976, Hennepin County has had an agreement with the City of St. Anthony to provide routine maintenance tasks such as snow and ice control; flushing and sweeping curbs, gutters, and medians; debris removal; and park-style lawn mowing on County State Aid Highways (CSAHs) located within the city limits of St. Anthony. These roads include:
CSAH 27 (Stinson Boulevard) between St. Anthony Boulevard and 37th Avenue NE
CSAH 136 (Silver Lake Road) between Kenzie Terrace and 37th Avenue NE
CSAH 153 (Kenzie Terrace) between Stinson Boulevard and Silver Lake Road
CSAH 88 (New Brighton Boulevard) between St. Anthony Boulevard and the easterly Hennepin County line
The location of these roads allows the city to provide more timely, cost-effective routine maintenance.
Current Request: This request is for approval of Agreement PW 31-10-26 with the City of St. Anthony to provide routine maintenance on 13.38 lane miles of the Hennepin County Highway System. Agreement PW 31-10-26 is a continuation of previous agreements under which St. Anthony provides routine maintenance.
